Services Offered to the Public

The City of South Miami provides the following services to residents and non-residents at the Central Services Division Office at the rear of the historic Silvia Marting Building next to City Hall (6130 Sunset Drive). The hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Each item below includes a description of the service, identification requirements, and fees:

• Fingerprinting
  
  Fee: $12.00 each card
  Photo ID required. (Ex.: Passport, driver’s license, state-issued photo ID)
  
  
• Background Checks      (24 hour wait)
  
  Fee: $15.00
  Photo ID required. (Ex.: Passport, driver’s license, state-issued photo ID)
  
  
• Notary Public
  
  Fees: $10.00 for first page and $2.00 for other pages.
  Photo ID required. (Ex.: Passport, driver’s license, state-issued photo ID)
  
  
• Photocopies and Laminating
  
  Color and black & white copying available. Laminating costs vary depending on size of document. Call for more information.
